To celebrate these 4 decades, we have decided to organise :
the 1st Liss Transport mâchon
This convivial event will bring us together over a meal.
But what is a mâchon lyonnais???
The mâchon lyonnais or 19th century brunch…
It’s a Lyon speciality that consists of sharing a meal,
served in the early hours of the morning by Lyon restaurants.
The menu is simple: cold meats, cheese, tripe and any other traditional Lyonnais cooking. The aim was to share a warm moment in good company over a hearty hot meal.
The word mâchon is derived from the verb to chew: to chew, to share, to discuss, to spend time at the table savouring hearty dishes. Chewing seals and strengthens a meeting.
